Meet the Team

	Owners Lionel Korach and Hilary Kearns. We are the couple who will welcome you when you decide to stay in the accommodation available. We really enjoy meeting new people and over the years have met hundreds of different folk, our main focus is to ensure you have a hassle free, relaxing and enjoyable break away, coupled with some memorable fishing experiences.
		Lionel Korach Skipper (Capt) I have been with the company from the beginning and have guided hundreds of anglers of all skill levels to some very memorable catches. I never tire of the sea or the challengers it can throw up and have always been drawn to it from a very young age. I am very privileged to get the opportunity to help others experience it as well. I guess my specialities would be light tackle stray line fishing, jig fishing Kingfish and ultra deep jigging Hapuku and Bluenose. I do have a passion for the pelagic species such as the Yellow fin and especially Blue Marlin. My largest capture is a Blue Marlin of 247.50kg in the summer of 2007 it was a very satisfying moment. White Island is a unique location and every visit to the Island generally throws up new challenges, such is the nature of the place, a steaming volcanic Island with thousands of secrets and even more underwater seamounts to explore. So join me or one of the crew and try unlocking some of those secrets.
		Hilary Kearns Co-owner (partner) Hi I’m Hilary, your hostess when you stay with us. I’ll ensure you eat well and have a good stay. I get out fishing when time allows and enjoy having a tussle with the odd Kingfish, soft bait fishing or a relaxing snapper fish in the sun at the Rau’s.
		Louise Allen Skipper (Capt) dive instructor Louise has a real passion for the sea and loves being on it or under it. Louise holds both her skippers ticket and PADI staff instructors plus SSI Instructor trainers qualifications. Her strengths lie in her patience in helping people become proficient divers. When she’s not working she enjoys fishing, surfing, and of course scuba diving.
